Field Marketing is the function of out-sourcing sales, promotional and communicative activities, which are conducted by professionals and audited strictly in terms of results. The main services provided by Field Marketing are Sales, Merchandising, Auditing, Sampling and Demonstration, Road shows, Mystery Shopping and the support services of Telesales.

This requirement can be either for short projects to meet a temporary need or on an ongoing basis where the client has a permanent requirement, and can be for a variety of different types of work in order to meet the clients' aims and objectives. Field Marketing can be conducted in the retail or business environment, or direct to the consumer by approaching him in the market place or in his home. Tactical activities are generally one-off activities to support a product launch or re-launch or during significant sales periods. Contractual activities are generally to offer on going support for a prolonged period to achieve long term objectives and to maintain consistent standards and profiles.

How do you monitor your personnel out in the field?

There are 2 methods:

  • Method A entails that each staff member log their efforts on an online application using their mobile phones.
  • Method B entails a manual paper trail of activities performed which requires sign off from the store that they perform the task at.

To ensure personnel are monitored and the activities objectives are fulfilled satisfactorily, ENAV8 deploy Regional Managers throughout the country to

  • assist with recruitment and training
  • control and monitor activities
  • provide encouragement and support
  • spot check of work being conducted
  • maintain contact with field teams and ensuring targets are met
  • occasionally act as standby to complete outstanding calls
  • provide field reports on the activity in their region
 

 

Where do you get your field personnel from?

Dependent on the nature of the activity, the appropriate field personnel are either utilised from our existing database or recruited specifically through dedicated advertising. All staff are profiled and appraised on all activities they work on, whether it be one day or one year and therefore the relevant personnel can usually be selected when activities occur. However, we are constantly recruiting and operate a referral scheme. In some cases our staff have been with the company for many years.
